2013 Mercedes G-Class – The Leader Among Off-Road Vehicles
Mercedes-Benz has significantly upgraded the Mercedes G-Class, so reemphasising its position as the leader among off-road vehicles. The 2013 Mercedes G-Class today is considered the top model among luxury-class cross-country vehicles, and has provided the gene pool for the other very successful SUVs built under the Mercedes-Benz brand.
Since the first Mercedes G-Class was originally introduced in 1979, as off-road terrain vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has evolved. Over the course of 33 years Mercedes-Benz has refined what was initially a very practically-oriented off-road specialist by giving it a high-class interior and road-going qualities on a par with those of the premium saloons emanating from Stuttgart. The 2013 Mercedes G-Class today is considered the top model among luxury-class cross-country vehicles, and has provided the gene pool for the other very successful SUVs built under the Mercedes-Benz brand.
The 2013 Mercedes G-Class has been heavily modified and includes a new interior with exclusive materials, a completely redesigned center console and instrument cluster, and some minor changes for the exterior. The line-up now includes a new Mercedes G63 AMG powered by an 8-cylinder biturbo engine combined with an ECO start/stop system and a new G65 AMG model featuring a new V12 biturbo engine.

2013 Mercedes G-Class Exterior
The 2013 Mercedes G-Class receives minor changes for the exterior, including new exterior mirrors and new LED daytime running lamps. The 2013 Mercedes G-Class AMG versions will also receive a new, characteristic AMG radiator grille with double louvers and distinctive new bumpers with large air intakes. 2013 Mercedes G-Class Interior
The 2013 Mercedes G-Class has received more than its fair share of updates for the interior. The center console and instrument panel have been completely redesigned and now features new controls and generously proportioned, exclusively designed trim elements. All informations needed will displayed in the new TFT color display combined with a large color screen – part of the COMAND Online system.
All of the new G-Class models will be offered with a standard Bluetooth wireless connectivity, navigation system with special additional off-road functions, and LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system. As an option, customers can choose between Blind Spot Assist, DISTRONIC PLUS, and the parking aid PARKTRONIC with reversing camera.
2013 Mercedes G-Class Engine
For the new 2013 Mercedes G-Class , Mercedes-Benz is offering two standard models: the 2013 Mercedes G 350 BlueTEC and the G500, and two AMG models – the 2013 Mercedes G63 AMG and the G65 AMG. The basic version, the 2013 Mercedes G350, features a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine that delivers a total output of 211 HP at 3400 rpm and a peak torque of 398 lb-ft delivered between 1600 to 2400 rpm. The 2013 Mercedes G500 is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 petrol engine that delivers an powerful 388 HP and a peak torque of 390 lb-ft.
The two versions will be offered with a standard 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission. The 2013 Mercedes G63 AMG gets a V8 biturbo engine delivers a total of544 HP and 560 lb-ft of torque, which features the ECO start/stop system as standard. The 2013 Mercedes G65 AMG features a V12 biturbo engine that delivers a total output of 612 HP and 737 lb-ft of torque, making this the most powerful series-produced cross-country vehicle in the world.

The 2013 Mercedes G-Class G-Class will go on sale in June 2012. In Germany, prices will be as follows:
